Usually, the WhatsApp application is not updated during the weekend, but for some reason, the developers have been quite busy yesterday. It seems that a new WhatsApp STABLE version (2.16.310) and a new WhatsApp BETA version (2.16.311) have been released this Saturday.
Unfortunately, none of the two versions of the applications has received any major change. However, it is good to know that the two versions of WhatsApp come with usual bug fixes and stability improvements, which we’re pretty sure that many of you will notice as soon as you will install them on your Android device.
The WhatsApp 2.16.310 APK (installation) file has been increased by 217Kb, it has 793 files modified, of which 787 files are related to icons and emoji, while the other 6 files were needed to increase the version number of the application.
On the other hand, the WhatsApp 2.16.311 APK (installation) file has been increased by 207KB, and there are 957 modified files, 947 of them being icons and emoji. It is good to know that no files are related to the function of the application, which means that we will not see any new features or options added to the application.
