Providing stylus support has become a challenge for the folks at Samsung and it can be considered as one of the main reasons behind the delay of the Nougat Samsung version. In addition, Samsung had to go through a lot of hassle when designing Android 7.0 to be compatible with the Edge screen. However, these issues have now been fixed and Samsung smartphones owners will soon be able to get their hands on the latest Android operating system.

As per several verified reports, testing Samsung TouchWiz UI with Nougat has already been completed. They have already released a beta version of Android 7.0 to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 for testing purposes. However, this is not a worldwide release and all the Note 5 owners will not be able to get the update. In fact, the Nougat beta update for Note 5 is only available for the devices that were sold in Korea and China.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 made news in the recent past. Unfortunately, the phone was discontinued and it shattered the dreams of Samsung, which were about releasing Android 7.0 Nougat along with their latest device. As a result, they are looking forward to pay special attention towards releasing Android 7.0 Nougat to the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The Galaxy S7 smartphones were equipped with Grace UX UI, which was present in Note 7 as well. Customizing Android 7.0 Nougat with Grace UX has already been completed and it will be available in the upcoming weeks.

As per early rumors, the Android 7.0 Nougat update was expected to roll out for Samsung devices during the fourth quarter of 2016. Those rumors seem to be accurate and Samsung smartphone owners have now started receiving the latest updates. Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are the first devices to receive the latest update. The OS update would be provided to few other devices when the company finishes internal testing.

As per Samsung, the Android 7.0 Nougat update will be released to Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus before the end of this year. However, no official announcement has been made whether Samsung would release Android 7.0 update to other devices or not.
