If you own a device that runs on iOS 10 and you use Google Maps on it, then we have some good news for you. A new version of Google Maps has been released for iPhones and iPads and it comes with some new features.

The Google Maps version 4.23.0 can be downloaded and installed right now on any device that runs on iOS 10. In concordance with PhoneArena, the new Google Maps version has received some tweaked widgets for Travel Times and Nearby Transit. It seems that the two widgets have been updated in order to match with the iOS 10 theme.

The Travel Times widgets for Google Maps are giving users information about the estimated time when they will reach their destination while the Nearby Transit is known to provide information about nearby public transport. It is good to know that the Travel Times is developed in a way that it will also put into consideration real-time traffic and possible obstruction.

The new Google Maps update also comes with some new features that will allow you to check out descriptions for certain locations. For example, if you are looking for a hotel, you will be able to check its description and all facilities that it offers.

It is good to know that the new Google Maps version also allows you to upload photos while you are reviewing a place. This is a great feature that will allow you to help out other customers who are about to come to the same hotel, café bar etc. Google Maps version 4.23.0 also comes with bug fixes and optimizations, making sure that the application runs smoothly on your iOS 10 device.

Keep in mind that the update is made over-the-air, which means that some users might get the update today, while others will have to wait for a few days (it depends from the mobile network company and the country).
