In spite of all the rumors that GTA 6 is being cancelled, gamers are confident that Rockstar Games will not disappoint them now. Moreover, rumor has it that the studio is now focused on developing and releasing another DLC for Grand Theft Auto 5. As such, there is no information available about the release of the sixth installment of the series.
At the same time, Grand Theft Auto 5, which is the most recent flagship title released in the series, is still bringing lots of money to Rockstar Games, which makes lots of people think that the company is not rushing to cut down this source of profit. Moreover, this particular game is present in the Top 10 most wanted online games.
According to some reports, the gaming studio hasn’t even started working on the GTA 6, and it seems that they don’t even have a plan for the next episode. Other sources though claim that the odds are high that we will see the successor for GTA 5 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017. Even so, it is highly unlikely that we will see a possible next game revealed earlier than 2018.
There are other rumors circulating that Red Dead Redemption 2 might be another reason for which Rockstar is delaying the release of the GTA 6. Apparently the sequel to the 2010 hit called Red Dead Redemption will be announced on the next follow-up from the team. It remains to be seen if we will ever get our hands on GTA 6 or not.
Other voices say that the studio is not rushing because they want to bring the latest technology to the GTA franchise, namely 4K quality display and virtual support. Besides, the location seems to remain in the United States, being based in Jacksonville.
