Motorola’s new handsets, the Moto Z and Moto Z Play have just been launched in India at an event that took place in Delhi yesterday. Both devices will be available for purchase on amazon.in and Flipkart starting with the 17th of October.
If you missed the event, Lenovo has live streamed it for those who were unable to attend and it’s possible to see the video on their site. If you’re a Motorola handset user and you’re thinking about upgrading to a new model, here is some information about the devices’ specs.
The Moto Z
The Moto Z has an all-metal design that integrates water repellent nano coating and a fingerprint reader. It comes with a 5.5 AMOLED screen and it’s powered by a quad core Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and has two storage options that are expandable – 32 Gb and 64 GB. It also runs Android Marshmallow and it will perhaps be among the first devices from Motorola to eventually upgrade to Android Nougat.
In terms of camera, the Moto Z has two of them – a 13 MP rear one and a 5 MP front one. Lastly it comes with a 2,600 mAh battery that supports Turbo Charging tech.
The Moto Z Play
The Moto Z Play boasts a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display that is powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor from Qualcomm. It sports 2 GB of RAM and has 32 GB native storage space that can be expanded via a MicroSD card. The device also comes with a battery that supports fast charging tech.
In terms of cameras, it comes with a 16 MP rear one and a 5 MP front one. The Moto Z is priced at approximately 40,000 Rs (roughly $600), while the Moto Z Play is priced at approximately 25,000 Rs ($376).
