Many Resident Evil fans are waiting for the upcoming 7th installment0 of the beloved survival game and they even got a taste of what comes next when Capcom released a teaser demo game.
The demo was well received and players downloaded it over 2 million times. It featured gameplay set in a decrepit house where the main player is trapped with a crazy murderous family. The purpose of the game is for the player to escape the house by exploring and interacting with the items found in each room.
However, one might ask where the zombies fit in this game and the fact is the Capcom later revealed that the Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour experience was meant to be a purely standalone one and that it wasn’t a segment of the final game. This teaser demo was followed by another one named Lantern that presented a part of the storyline of the upcoming game.
Now, the upcoming game is confirmed to be getting VR support and it appears that, according to an advertisement on Facebook, it will be playable on the PlayStation 4 VR exclusively for 12 months. So this means that if you don’t already have a PS4 console plus VR headset and are a hardcore fan of the game series, you should probably consider buying the two as soon as you can.
The Sony PlayStation 4 VR headset is expected to be released tomorrow and the Resident Evil 7 game will be launched next January for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Capcom recently released a series of screen shots that give fans a good idea of what the indoor and outdoor environments will be like. They also showcase some of the puzzles and many fans have already said that they definitely capture the creepy horror mood that the game is famous for.
