It is no secret anymore that the South Korean tech company is working on the successor of its Galaxy Tab S2; however, Samsung remains mum regarding the tablet’s release date. If rumors were true though, we’ll possibly see the launching of the highly anticipated device next year.
In one of its recent post, Trusted Review reported that Samsung is close to launching the Galaxy Tab S3 as the company has already applied for certification before the FCC, the highest certification board for telecommunication devices in the U.S. There are also talks about the S3 launching in mid 2017.
A Twitter user Evan Blast shared in one of his posts the leaked design of Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. The third generation Galaxy tablet appeared to be not so different from its predecessors; however, its display’s aspect ratio is potentially a step back from the S2 having only 16:10 aspect ratio compared to the latter’s 4:3. This may not sit well with consumers who favor a squarer tablet.
Well anyway, the dimension issue could be easily overlooked and forgiven as the S3 is expected to feature an AMOLED screen with 8-inch and 9.7-inch screen variant. It is also likely to pack Samsung’s octa-core Exynos 8890 chipset just like the Galaxy S7 variants. Rumors also have it that the S3 will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 82 processor for better performance.
In addition, the device is said to come with 4GB of RAM and an internal storage options of 32GB and 64GB. And speaking of its camera, the S3 will feature an 8-magapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. It will also likely to have a USB-C type as featured the Galaxy Note 7.
Most important, it will likely to be waterproof and will run on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 OS and is expected to manage a 14.2 hours screen-on-time. Check this out to learn more about the S3’s amazing specs and features.
