Fans of Destiny can rejoice as there are many rumors that there will be another installment in the game series which is scheduled for release in 2017.

There is nothing official from Bungie – the company responsible for the game – on the subject just yet but there are many rumors. One of the most interesting rumors states that the upcoming game will be available on consoles like PS4 and Xbox One and on PCs (Destiny is not available on this platform). This last part was actually something that some players complained about in the past and yesterday, a poster on NeoGAF that goes by the name benny_a said that a friend from Activision told him that the Destiny sequel will definitely be on PC. The user also revealed that Vicarious Visions, an Activision studio, is also working on developing the upcoming game.

Making the game available on PC would definitely be a win for Bungie as the game is already popular and it will surely reach a wider spectrum of audience.

It’s also believed that the upcoming Destiny 2 game will feel like it’s an entirely new experience, as opposed to an expansion of the content. According to another rumor, the developers at Bungie want the game to leave behind planets and characters and get a completely different feel, much like the difference between the first Diablo and the second installment in Diablo.

Supposedly, one of these huge changes include play-in destinations which refer to players going on quests in more populated planet areas that will be more exciting than the patrol missions in Destiny 1.

These changes to the story may also be due to a huge Bungie staff reorganization process. The thing is that back in April 2016 several employees left the company to work in bigger companies or in indie games development ones.
