Currently, Google is on the last hundred of meters in their preparations for releasing the Android Nougat to the Nexus series of devices. But what does this mean? This means that other third-party devices should be getting the latest Android version before the end of this year. Some of the tech makers even claim that the update may arrive even in October, so get ready!

Droid Life asked for an opinion from Motorola and a spokesperson there said that soon they will be rolling out the Android Nougat 7.0 OS. Moreover, the first devices that will receive the updates will be those from the Moto Z series, together with Moto G4, starting with Q4.

Of course, the update will respect a schedule when it will be launched, going first to the Moto Z device, then to Moto Z Force and Moto Z Play.

At the end of this year, the update will also reach other devices, such as Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. These two series being the first ones to get the new OS is an understandable decision, given that both the Moto G4 and the Moto Z are the first releases Lenovo made after it bought the Motorola Company.

In the meantime, besides the Moto series, it’s a sure thing that other flagship devices will be receiving the Android Nougat OS. Phone Arena reported that the Chinese manufacturer OnePlus has announced in an unofficial way that the OnePlus 3 will also receive the update soon. They have offered details about their update intentions in a Reddit AMA. Even so, OnePlus, though confirming the update, did not give any further information about the exact date.

In the beginning of this year, HTC also confirmed that they will bring the latest update to their devices before the end of the year.
