The Tokyo Game Show 2016 was the venue for the announcement of the release of the game Metal Gear Survive. As it was being teased, it seemed like the game should be an exciting journey for players, according to reports. In fact, the official trailer released on September 17 revealed that the spinoff game will get a new perspective in the upcoming titles.
However, there were mixed reactions regarding the release of the latest addition to the Metal Gear series, which is dubbed Metal Gear Survive. This was due to the fact that the game has allegedly deviated from the original plot which focused instead on zombies.
Rumors about the Metal Gear Franchise
The creator of the Metal Gear franchise, Hideo Kojima, and its developer Konami has allegedly concluded their partnership in terms of making video game series. For this reason, Konami didn’t have much choice but to try their luck in the development of Metal Gear without help from its leader.
Fans Believe Kojima Was Already Out
Despite the fact that fans have not been happy about the outcome of the game, it certainly lived up to its name. Although Kojima may have still been with the company while the game was under development, the fans assumed that he was no longer associated with Konami as what they have seen from its trailer.
Expected Release Date
According to sources, Metal Gear Survive will be arriving in 2017 that will focus more on a horror genre. The game is set to be released on the PS4, PC, and Xbox One for all fans out there. Hence, if this game aims to be a top contender in the video game series genre, then perhaps it should conform to the desires of those who fell in love with its gameplay in the first play. Otherwise, it should get some negative reviews from critics and fans alike which it already did at some point.
