You’re not considered a Pokemon Master if you don’t have any of the legendary monsters in your Pokedex, including Articuno, Mewtwo, Mew, Moltres and Zapdos. Well, you better catch ‘em all.

Unfortunately, these legendary Pokemon are actually hard to catch, because they haven’t been found yet. That is, no one knows yet as to where they’re likely to appear and end everyone’s sufferings. There have been sightings of Articuno in Ohio, and some lucky trainer claims to have received it as a gift from game developer Niantic. But everyone is quick to assume it’s a hoax.

If you are to believe the Pokemon Go trailer, however, Mewtwo might appear at a public event, similar to that gathering in Times Square. This means you’ll have to wait for a Raid to have a chance to catch legendary Pokemon. But it is possible that only players with a complete Pokedex can catch Mewtwo.

What is true, however, is that it is possible to catch Mewtwo. You just have to know the enemy, so to speak.

History of the Mewtwo

Mewtwo is a generic clone of Mew that has the same DNA as every Pokemon in existence, and has the ability to become invisible. Because it is rarely seen, many believe it’s extinct, which makes catching it all the more challenging, but not impossible. It is believed that Mew will show itself to someone who is pure of heart. Are you?

Mewtwo, being Mew’s clone, is likely to have similar characteristics. But it is known to have the most ruthless heart, what with it being engineered to best and beat anyone it is up against in a battle, including you. Its primary goal is to defeat its enemies, striking fear in the eyes and heart of every opponent.

Based on this information, it is clear that you’ll need to train more to catch yourself a Mewtwo, keeping in mind what it is capable of.

Rumor has it that a public even or Raid might happen during the San Diego Comic Con. Players have been advised to catch as many Pokemon they can get their hands on, after all. What are the odds that Niantic will give gamers a chance to catch Mewtwo?
