There are many mobile devices out there deserving an applause even if they belong to the lower class. However, with their exceptional performance, they have become a standard that even some leading products are struggling to achieve.
The Axon 7 from ZTE has led the way in terms of affordability. It has also scored a lot bigger when it successfully became compatible with major networks in the United States. In fact, the Axon 7 has dramatically raised expectations, as it became an affordable flagship when it has delivered an excellent line of smartphones to the market with just a few compromises.
Here are some of the notable features of the ZTE Axon 7 to look forward to.
- The Design
ZTE has indeed refined its design by creating a mobile phone design with literally smooth edges. In fact, it has a sense of character unlike other metal smartphones out there. Moreover, it doesn’t incorporate some plastic caps in the design, but instead an aluminum uni-body that should be free of any edges.
The device may have some questionable tags on the rear side of the Axon 7. This is in connection with the Designed in the USA tag found on the back of the phone. Basically, this phone is made in China which caused the tag to be criticized. However, it was in connection with the collaboration made between Designworks and ZTE as they were designing the Axon 7.
- The Display Features
As what most sources say, the ZTE Axon 7 has indeed been able to exceed their expectations with the product’s display. In fact, it has the best displays that can be seen on a smartphone. Actually, it is a quad HD 5.5-inch AMOLED display, having a huge pixel density of 538ppi. This new device should be worth competing with top end displays that can be found in leading phones made by Samsung. Moreover, it has a very good readability rate which also gets dim enough in dark environments. In terms of screen protection, it also has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to make it a very impressive device within the very affordable price range.
- The Performance Meter
When it comes to processors, the Axon 7 has a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. The two cores are running at 1.6GHz, while the other two are running at 2.15GHz. Take note that the Snapdragon 820 is a favorite hardware in major flagship smartphones in 2016. For this reason, it is quite impressive to have a processor this good. Perhaps this was a step up from the Snapdragon 810, which was released in the previous year that has been attacked by overheating rumors.
On top of that, the Axon 7 has a 4GB of RAM, which should be enough to handle heavy multitasking. Moreover, the device also received positive reviews from people in which the overall experience was remarkably smooth. Likewise, the Adreno 530 GPU is already sufficient to handle mobile gaming at its best.
Only one drawback can be noticed with this device though, which focuses on the SIM card slot. This was intended to cater to the microSD expansion, so the ZTE Axon 7 gives up the dual-SIM capability to provide more space and to give a slight edge above its competitors.
