Twitter recently made a new iOS feature available called “Night Mode.” When used, the feature will change the Twitter app theme to a dark color, which makes it convenient to use at night or in a dark room where there is dim or no light.  Night mode is definitely a useful feature for people who don’t want to strain their eyes when using Twitter during the night.

Night Mode was developed out of the jailbreak tweak called Eclipse, which offered Night Mode on the iOS platform. Apple users who’ve been waiting for the company to offer the feature as a non-jailbreak option is excited to see Twitter develop it for itself and offer it on the app.

Back in July, the feature was originally released on Android devices. However, the iOS offered a beta version of the feature, allowing a few iOS users partook in. It’s what led the platform to develop the feature’s final version.

If you find yourself using Twitter more at night, this is a feature you really want to consider for your eyes. Night Mode ensures your eyes are not strained or being burnt due the app’s normal bright effects. Want to know how to get the feature on your phone?

The first thing you need to do is ensure the Twitter app is up-to-date.

How To Turn Night Mode For Twitter On For iOS

  • If the app isn’t updated, you need to install the newest Twitter update on your iPad or iPhone.
  • Open the app on your iPad or iPhone.
  • Tap on tab called “Me” found at the bottom right corner of app.
  • Tap on icon for Settings located near your Twitter profile picture.
  • You’ll be pressed with several options. Choose the “Turn On Night Mode.”

Once you’re complete with the final step, the whole Twitter interface goes dark so that you can use the app at night. You can turn the feature off by tapping the gear icon and hit the “Turn off Night Mode” option.

The only way you can get this “Night Mode” feature is to upgrade Twitter to its newest version. However, you notice it’s still not there after that, you may need to close the app and reopen it.  Or, you can change the App Store region to U.S. to attain it for yourself.
