Microsoft has released its Lumia 550 handset in December 2015, while the Xiaomi Mi 4s device has hit the stores in March 2016. The former is a low-end smartphone that runs on Windows 10 Mobile, while the latter falls into the upper mid-range category and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Designs

The Microsoft Lumia 550 measures 136.1×67.8×9.9mm and weights 141.9 grams. It has a cheap-looking plastic body available in black or white colors, with flat sides and a camera located in the top center of the back. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi 4s is slimmer and lighter as it measures 139.3×70.8×7.8mm and weights 133 grams. It has a premium metal and glass design and a fingerprint scanner below the rear camera, while the available color options are: Black, White, Gold and Pink.



Displays

The Microsoft Lumia 550 has a display of 4.7-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 315 ppi. The Xiaomi Mi 4s comes with a bigger IPS LCD display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 441 ppi.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Microsoft Lumia 550 features a Qualcomm MSM8909 Snapdragon 210 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A7 CPU clocked at 1.1GHz, an Adreno 304 graphics card and 1GB of RAM. The Xiaomi Mi 4s comes with a Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 chipset, a dual-core Cortex A57 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.4GHz, an Adreno 418 graphics card and 3GB of RAM.

Storages

The Microsoft Lumia 550 has been released with an internal storage of 8GB, while the Xiaomi Mi 4s supports an internal memory of 64GB. However, you can expand the storage capacity, on both devices, up to 256GB, using a microSD card.

Cameras

The Microsoft Lumia 550 sports a primary camera of 5MP that features LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus and a secondary camera of 2MP. The Xiaomi Mi 4s has a better primary camera of 13MP that features phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 5MP.

Batteries

The Microsoft Lumia 550 is powered by a removable battery of 2100 mAh, while the Xiaomi Mi 4s has a non-removable battery of 3260 mAh.
