Multinational company Samsung is known not only for home appliances and electronics but also for mobile phones. In fact, Samsung smartphones occupy a big chunk of the pie in terms of sales in most countries worldwide.

This year, Samsung released yet another smartphone from its Galaxy J-series for consumers, the Galaxy J7 Prime. It was first launched in Vietnam and just a few days ago, it became available in India. The J-series have received rave reviews and people who have bought these models are happy with their devices.


Samsung, on the other hand, wasted no time and introduced J7 Prime along with Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime.

J7 Prime Features

J7 Prime has a slim body and sleek design that comes in gold and black color choices. It has a large 5.5-inch 1080p TFT display, Android Marshmallow 6.0 and a 3GB RAM for speed. The handy and wide display is covered by the scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 4 while internal storage is at 16GB to store images, files, videos and music. Moreover there are front and rear cameras that boast of 5 megapixels and 13 megapixels, respectively.

Both of these cameras have a large aperture of f/1.9, a feature that other models from the Samsung J series also have.

As for the processor, this interesting smartphone has Exynos 7870 octa-core. This mobile processor offers diverse features designed for mid-range mobile devices and has 16 bits. It is also equipped with a fast LTE modem and 14nm FinFET process technology. Not only is this powerful octa-core processor built for performance, but is also efficient in terms of battery consumption since it uses 30% less power than its predecessor built on 28nm HKMG processor.

Aside from the internal memory of 1GB, there is also a microSD card slot for an expandable storage space. A microUSB 2.0 port is also available to attach a flash drive for transferring and saving files. Users can also connect to more mobile users with different network providers via the dual-SIM card slot. For more convenience in operating the device and added security, there is a fingerprint sensor added feature that is incorporated in the home button.

It also has a 3,300mAh battery with a talk time of 21 hours in 3G and with the S Secure and S Battery Planning features to match with it. These features were developed by Samsung India’s R&D center. The S Secure feature works with the fingerprint sensor and protects apps, Wi-Fi networks and images from unauthorized users.

The S Battery Planning Feature, on the other hand, makes it possible to preserve battery life that can be used for calls as well as direct calls to another phone if the phone is low on battery charge.


Other features of the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime include LED flash in the cameras as well as geo-tagging, touch focus, panorama, HDR and face detection. Aside from Wi-Fi connection, Bluetooth and GPS are also available.

With the features, design and being a mid-range smartphone, Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is a promising mobile device that has spectacular characteristics without being too expensive.
