The Galaxy J mid-range line of phones was appreciated by Samsung’s fans and the company has realized that it’s profitable to bring new models to the market.
Today we’ll talk about the J2 2016 that has been released in July 2016, and the J5 2016, which arrived earlier, in April 2016.
The Galaxy J2 2016 measures 142.4×71.1x8mm and weights 138 grams. The device has a plastic curvy back that’s removable and the Logo is branded over the parallel lines that run all the way along the sides and meet below the camera module, which utilizes the new smart glow feature and alerts the user when the battery is dying.
On the other hand, the Galaxy J5 2016 measures 145.8×72.3×8.1mm and weights 159 grams. This model has a brushed metal back (it’s made of plastic) that’s curved on the edges, and a metal frame.
The Galaxy J2 2016 has a super AMOLED display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 294 ppi. The Galaxy J5 2016 comes with a super AMOLED display of 5.2-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 282 ppi.

The Galaxy J2 2016 features a Spreadtrum SC8830 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A7 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz, a Mali-400MP2 graphics card and 1.5GB of RAM. The Galaxy J5 2016 has a Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 306 graphics card and 2GB of RAM.
The Galaxy J2 2016 has been released with an internal storage of 8GB which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. The Galaxy J5 2016 comes with an internal storage of 16GB, but it can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.
The Galaxy J2 2016 sports a primary camera of 8MP that features LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 5MP. The Galaxy J2 2016 is powered by a removable battery of 2600 mAh which is weaker than the removable battery of 3100 mAh of the Galaxy J5 2016.
