Today, Clash of Clans underwent some routine maintenance. This minor maintenance didn’t add anything new to the game, which disappointed fans who have been waiting the September update.
There was no August update, but a large update is expected to hit sometime this month. September updates have traditionally been big for Clash of Clans. In September 2013, the Edit Mode for villages was added, September 2014 saw the introduction of the Lava Hound unit as well as new upgrades, and September 2015 made major changes to spells. Whatever this year’s September update will include, fans expect it to be something notable.
In fact, they cancelled ClashCon 2016 so they could work on improvements and new content for their games. This suggests the next major Clash of Clans update is even bigger than the ones that have come before it.
However, we’re a good ways through September now with no sign of it. There are many rumors about what the new update will contain, mostly based on hints and other comments from Supercell, but no one knows for sure.
Normally, a major update like the anticipated September update would be preceded by sneak peeks. No sneak peeks have been made available yet. If they still intend to give sneak peeks ahead of time, then the update itself probably won’t be available until the end of September.
When do you think the September 2016 Clash of Clans update is coming? Some fans are afraid it’s been pushed to another month. What do you think it will contain? Let us know in the comments.
