A new Pokémon Sun and Moon trailer has been released. It introduces more version-exclusive Pokémon as well as some of the new gameplay features. Let’s take a look.

Four new Pokémon have been revealed, two exclusive to Sun and two exclusive to Moon.

The Pokémon Sun exclusives are the Fighting-type Pokémon Passimian, which has a new Ability that lets it inherit the Ability of an ally who faints in battle, and the Rock-type Pokémon Lycanroc (Midday Form), which has an exclusive move that always hits first.

The Pokémon Moon exclusives are the Normal/Psychic-type Pokémon Oranguru, which has an exclusive move that makes its target immediately re-use its last move, and the Rock-type Pokémon Lycanroc (Midnight Form), which can learn Counter. Lycanroc is the evolution of Rockruff, and it will evolve according to which version of the game you have.

All right, so what about the new features?

One thing players have been excited about since the early trailers is that character customization returns in Pokémon Sun and Moon. This trailer displays a sample of Alola fashions, including the ability to change your clothes, hair, and eye color. You can also dye your clothing different colors.

Next, it revealed Pokémon Refresh, which sounds like a more practical version of Pokémon-Amie. By grooming your Pokémon, you can not only increase its affection, but also clean it and cure status ailments. It also sounds as though the affection system has been expanded so that a Pokémon with high affection is more likely to dodge attacks and resist fainting.

Z-Moves were revealed in a previous trailer, and two more were announced in this one. Pikachu can use its powerful Catastropika attack, while Eevee can raise its stats with Extreme Evoboost. Every Z-Move has its own special animation.

Finally, outside of the trailer, we learned that Pokémon Bank will support Sun and Moon in early 2017. Pokémon cannot be transferred back to a previous generation after being moved to Sun or Moon. Pokémon Bank will also be updated with a new National Pokédex.
