Christmas season is just around the corner and for video gamers, both young and old, filling up that space under the tree with the third installment of the Half-life Series is the Christmas present there is.

Rumor has it that the creators of the Half-life series, Valve, have faced a blank wall after they released Half-life 2 a decade ago because the sequel was void of objectivity. Consequently, other issues followed. First, there were numerous existentialist questions down the pipeline as opposed to the first chapter. Second, members of the team in the development of the first release were not happy and somehow disappointed with how the company veered away from its goal in the beginning: to develop bestseller and high-quality games.

Half-life 3 Release Date

As for the exact date for the launch of the third installment, nothing is clear. In fact, Valve has either denied the rumors or has completely abandoned the idea. But knowing that this industry is a billion-dollar business and that billions of gamers are looking forward to the release of yet another Half-life game, anything can happen.

Features to Expect

Other interesting rumors circulate that this game is loaded with more features than the previous two. Reports say that it will include Kraken Base, which was supposed to have been added in Half-life 2 but did not push through.

Moreover, Borealis, an Aperture science ship, will be having different formats and might be in the next game. It has also numerous versions with the first part of the series, way back in 1999. It was designed by three of Valve’s designers: Aaron Barber, Randy Lundeen and Dario Caselli.

As for the synopsis, it will be about Doctor Helena Mossman who is the sinister character who puts all the research team and Gordon in danger. The player’s goal is to rescue Gordon as Kraken Base destructs.

Meanwhile, there are also talks about a 2018 Half-life 3 release. But for now, all remains to be seen.Christmas season is just around the corner and for video gamers, both young and old, filling up that space under the tree with the third installment of the Half-life Series is the Christmas present there is.
