Rockstar was not present during the recent PlayStation Meeting and this made a good amount of GTA fans very disappointed. We remind you that some rumors before the PlayStation Meeting were suggesting that Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive will attend the event in order to make an official announcement about their upcoming games. This is the reason why many fans were hoping that they will finally hear some official news regarding games such as GTA 6 or Red Dead Redemption 2.
However, the representatives from both companies we’ve mentioned above were absent during the event. According to The Bitbag, the GTA 6 might have been canceled and that Rockstar has claimed a few weeks ago that, currently, it is focused on the improvement of GTA 5.
However, some reports were suggesting that a big game such as Grand Theft Auto deserves a bigger event, which means that the GTA 6 might be finally unveiled during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017 (E3 2017). We need to mention that even if the GTA 6 will be unveiled during the E3 2017 event, it will still take a while for the developers to finally release it. In fact, if the GTA 6 will truly be unveiled at E3 2017, the game will not be released earlier than 2018.
According to reports, the GTA 6 might not hit the stores until 2020, when the Xbox Two and PlayStation 5 are expected to be launched. GTA 6 might also be the first game that will come to the next-generation consoles.
It is good to know that these are just rumors and we should take them with a bit of salt, as they might turn to be just hoaxes. As soon as Rockstar will make an official announcement about the GTA 6, we will let you know!
