The Lenovo Vibe K5 has been released back in April 2016, while the Lenovo K5 Note has hit the stores in January 2016. They’re both mid-range smartphones with premium designs and they cost $190 and $209, respectively. Today we will compare these two smartphones and see if they have anything in common.

Designs

The Lenovo Vibe K5 measures 142x71x8mm and weights 142 grams. On the other hand, the Lenovo K5 Note is thicker and heavier as it measures 152×75.7×8.5mm and weights 165 grams. Both phones have a full metal body and the back is curved on the edges, but while the Vibe K5 has darker plastic strips at the top and bottom, the K5 Note has simply two thin lines that serve as radio bands. Also, the Vibe K5 has its rear camera located in the upper left corner, while its sibling has the camera “crossed” by the line at the top, and a fingerprint scanner is situated under it.



Displays

The Lenovo Vibe K5 comes with an IPS LCD display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 294 ppi. The Lenovo K5 Note has a bigger LTPS IPS LCD display of 5.5-inch that supports a higher resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Lenovo Vibe K5 features a Qualcomm MSM8929 Snapdragon 415 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 405 graphics card and 2GB of RAM. The Lenovo K5 Note comes with a Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 PCU clocked at 1.8GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.0GHz, a Mali-T860MP2 graphics card and 3/4GB of RAM.

Storages

The Lenovo Vibe K5 has been released with an internal storage of 16GB which can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. On the other hand, the Lenovo K5 Note comes with a bigger internal storage of 32GB, but you can also expand it up to 256GB using a microSD card.

Cameras

The Lenovo Vibe K5 sports a primary camera of 13MP that features LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 5MP. The Lenovo K5 Note has a primary camera of 13MP that offers phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 8MP.

Batteries

The Lenovo Vibe K5 is powered by removable battery of 2750 mAh which is weaker than the non-removable battery of 3500 mAh that the Lenovo K5 Note has.
