The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime comes with a pretty big IPS LCD display of 5.5-inch that supports a full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The new handset comes with a fingerprint scanner that’s embedded into the Home Button, which brings an additional level of security and it can be used to either unlock the device or apps.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime features an Exynos 7870 Octa chipset, an octa-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.6GHz, a Mali-T830MP2 graphics card and 3GB of RAM. When it comes to internal storage, its capacity is 32GB, but it can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 out-of-the box, but it will most likely be updated soon to Android N OS.

The Galaxy J7 Prime sports a primary camera of 13MP that features LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 8MP. Using the primary camera you will be able record videos at 1080p.

The device features a microUSB v2.0 and USB on-the-go that will allow users to charge it and transfer data faster. The smartphone is powered by a non-removable battery of 3300 mAh, which, according to Samsung, can keep the device “alive” for 10 hours. As for connectivity options, the handset includes Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.1.

It is good to know that the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime comes with an S Bike Mode that allows you to send a message when you are not able to answer a call (for example, if you are riding a bike or driving a car).

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime has already been released in India and it is being sold for Rs. 18,790 which is around $280. The smartphone will also be released in Asia and other countries in the near future.
