The Note 7 started on the wrong foot, and it affected Samsung’s image badly. The phablet was awaited by fans all over the world and they had no problem spending $850 on it, but when they put the device on charging, it exploded. Other owners have reported that their Note 7 has exploded out of the sudden, causing injuries and material damages (a Jeep was set on fire) and Samsung has withdrawn the phone from the market and tried to solve the battery issues. The South Korean company had to recall 2.5 million units sold until September 2, and it announced that the sales will resume on September 28.

Some carriers offered their customers other phones in exchange + difference, or they offered another phone for temporary use, but now, the replaced units are finally on their way to owners, and they are expected to arrive next week in more countries. However, fans who decided to wait until it’s safe to buy the Note 7 will be able to get the device on September 28 in South Korea and “other countries when conditions allow.” Most likely, in Europe, the Note 7 will be on sale in early October, and we hope that the battery will no longer explode and that all units will be replaced.

The Galaxy Note 7 was released with a dual-edge screen of 5.7-inch which supports a QHD resolution, which has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top of it, but the back is also made of glass and it’s available in colors such as Blue Coral, Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium and Black Onyx. Samsung has brought back dust and water resistance, and it added an iris scanner which allows users to unlock their devices just by looking at it.

Its hardware is more powerful than on any other Galaxy device, as it consists of the new Exynos 8890 chipset, an octa-core (4×2.3 GHz Mongoose & 4×1.6 GHz Cortex-A53) processor, a Mali-T880 MP12 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The internal memory has a capacity of 64GB and it’s expandable up to 256GB, while the battery has been upgraded to 3500mAh. As for the cameras, they’re the same ones from the Galaxy S7: 12 MP on the back with phase detection autofocus, OIS and LED flash and 5MP on the front.
