Sharing is caring!

Apple has firstly revealed the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus on September 7, then almost a week later, it released the iOS 10, which already started rolling out to compatible devices. The new operating system has received new features and users will notice that they will be able to do a lot more on their iDevices running on iOS 10. We’ve made a list with the most interesting new capabilities.

“Raise To Wake” And See Notifications

iOS 10 users will no longer need to push buttons to check their notifications, as thanks to the “Raise to wake” feature, they will just pick up their iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus and see notifications on the lock screen. This feature can be disabled by going to Settings > Display & Brightness.

Get Rid Of Some Of The Stock Apps

Finally, Apple allows iOS users to uninstall Maps, Contacts, Podcasts and other stock applications, which can be downloaded later from the App Store. Applications like Messages, Clock, Health and Safari won’t give you the right to delete them, but they won’t bother you much.

Siri Supports Third-party Apps

LinkedIn, Slack and Lyft are some of the applications that have Siri functions built into them and now WhatsApp users are able to find contacts, read or reply to messages by giving voice commands to Siri. In the future, more third-party apps will allow you to perform different actions without tapping on the screen.

You Will Find Your Car More Easily In The Parking Lot 10

You will no longer waste precious minutes trying to remember where you’ve parked your car. With Apple Maps, the location will be saved on the map (when you’ll stop driving) and you’ll be informed about it via a notification that says it’s dropped a pin and this pin will be used to navigate your way back to your vehicle.

Get Lyrics To Songs

If you’re listening to a song on Apple Music and want to use the lyrics later for karaoke, then go to the Menu > Now Playing and tap the three dots to get the lyrics to that track. However, you should know that not all songs have lyrics attached to them.

Use More Emojis

iOS 10 has over 100 new emojis, including options of male or female versions of old emojis, icons for a single-parent family, a rainbow flag and many icons have been redesigned to look more colorful.
