WhatsApp is surely one of the most popular mobile messaging applications out there, as it has over 1 billion monthly active users. Today we will talk about a new WhatsApp version that has just been released for Android devices and which can be downloaded and installed from the Google Play Store.
The new WhatsApp BETA version is 2.16.267 and even if it doesn’t come with a feature that creates and sends GIFs, it brings a two-factor authentication feature. As expected, some new files related to this new feature have been added.
The WhatsApp BETA 2.16.267 APK (installation) file has been increased by 58KB and it has over 550 modified files. Around 60 of these modified files are icons while two of them are related to registration and authentication (“btn_green_registration_disabled.xml” and “activity_two_factor_auth_verify.xml”).
If you’ve been waiting for some news regarding this Video Calling feature, then you’re not in luck as we don’t have any official information about this rumored feature that is expected to be released for WhatsApp sometime in the near future.
We remind you that WhatsApp has received two new Snapchat-like features: drawings and stickers. In a previous beta update, users have discovered that they have the ability to draw on pictures and insert stickers into images, then send them to their friends.
