The Sony Xperia X Compact measures 129x65x9.5mm and weights 135 grams. Its back appears to be made of brushed metal, but in reality, it’s made of plastic available in colors such as White, Black, Gold and Rose Gold, and it’s worth mentioning that the edges are curved. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 is slimmer and heavier as it measures 145.8×72.3×8.1mm and weights 159 grams. Its back is made of glass and it comes in colors such as Stylish White, Universe Black, Mist Blue and Ceramic. Also, the Compact variant uses the same curved-edge design language as the XZ model.

The Sony Xperia X Compact has an IPS LCD display of 4.6-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 319 ppi. The Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 has a bigger super AMOLED display of 5.2-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pSixels at 282 ppi.

The Sony Xperia X Compact features a Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650 chipset, a dual-core Cortex A72 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.4GHz, an Adreno 510 graphics card and 3GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 has a Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 306 graphics card and 2GB of RAM.

Storages

The Sony Xperia X Compact has been released with an internal storage of 32GB, while the Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 has half of its capacity. However, both devices feature a microSD card slot for expanding the memory up to 256GB using a memory card.
