Today we will compare two rival phablets, the controversial Samsung Galaxy Note 7, which had a few incidents with batteries exploding, and the freshly unveiled Apple iPhone 7. Depending on the preferences, fans will stick to Apple’s iOS, while others will continue to use Android and give Samsung’s another chance.

Designs

The Galaxy Note 7 measures 153.5×73.9×7.9mm and weights 169 grams. It’s very similar to the previous model, featuring a glass back and a metal frame, but it has a screen that curves around the edges and the interior is protected against dust and water. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus is slimmer and heavier as it measures 158.2×77.9×7.3mm and weights 188 grams. It’s available in two new colors: Jet Black and Black and the horizontal antenna lines have been moved to the top and bottom edges.

The Galaxy Note 7 comes with a super AMOLED display of 5.7-inch that supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 518 ppi. The iPhone 7 Plus has a smaller LED-backlit IPS LCD display of 5.5-inch that supports a lower resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi.
