Google Maps has just received a special Pokemon Go update; while this update is very minor, players who regularly use Google Maps will get some use out of this new addition.
Players can now add “Catching Pokemon” to their Google Maps timeline list of activities which allows players to see just how long they’ve spent catching Pokemon and most importantly, where they were catching them. This is great for keeping a list of rare Pokemon hotspots as players will always be able to see exactly where they are on the map and return to them at a later date.
It’s not a very big update and it won’t impact most Pokemon Go players but Niantic is currently working a special update which will add a large amount of new content to the game including trading, a new Buddy System and a new type of incense.
