The Sony Xperia XZ sports a 5.2 inch display at 1920 x 1080 px in resolution. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset and has 3GB of RAM plus 32 GB/64 GB of native storage space.
It features two cameras – a 23 MP one on the backside and a 13 MP one on the front side. The device is also water resistant and comes with a fingerprint sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 on the other hand, sports a slightly smaller 5.1 inch screen with 2560 x 1440 px in resolution. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset but there will also be an Exynos chipset variant. The device is also confirmed to have 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB/ 64 GB of native storage space.
In terms of camera, it’s less impressive than the XZ with its 12 MP rear camera and its 5 MP front one. From this point on the two devices are pretty similar as the Galaxy S7 is also water resistant and comes with a fingerprint scanner.
The Galaxy S7 packs a 3000 mAh battery, whereas the Sony Xperia XZ features a 2900 mAh battery. However, both devices can last up to 24 hours or more on a single charge.
It’s also worth mentioning that Sony has added some features to the battery that keep the built-in-cell from degrading after years of usage and it also prevents overcharging when the smartphone is left plugged in overnight.
