We have some bad news for The Elder Scrolls fans out there, because, according to Bethesda, they will have to wait until 2019 for the sixth installment of the series. The good news is that the sequel will indeed come out in the future.
We remind you that Bethesda is a developing and publisher company that has released this year Fallout 4 and DOOM. Both games are a real success and we’re sure that the company will prefer to delay the release of the sixth installment of The Elder Scrolls in order to make sure that they will make it at least as great as the previously mentioned games.
Todd Howard, director and executive producer at Bethesda Game Studios, said in an interview during the E3 2016 that the company has two other large projects that it is focusing on. Howard also added that, in fact, these two projects will be bigger than anything that the company has ever done. This is most likely the reason why “The Elder Scrolls 6” will have to wait for a few years until it will hit the stores.
There are rumors which say that “The Elder Scrolls VI” will come with virtual reality support. However, according to GamingBolt website, it will be impractical for Bethesda to create a VR support, since the game will not be released until 2019. In other words, there is no guarantee that VR will become very popular so it is not worth investing tons of money into it for now.
However, if there will be a good amount of gamers who will prefer to play VR games, then Bethesda will most likely consider bringing VR support for “The Elder Scrolls VI”.
