If you’re an Xbox One power user, there are some things that you need to know that will improve your gaming experience. Xbox One offers many awesome perks and unless you’re up to date with the latest news about the console, chances are that there are many features that you don’t know about. Here are 5 of those features.

  1. Tablets and Phones can become controllers

Yes, that is possible! But it will require you to download an app called Xbox One SmartGlass and to connect both the phone and the Xbox One to the same Wi-Fi network.

  1. You can play your saved games on any Xbox One console

Any game progress you’ve saved on your Xbox One can also be found in cloud storage. This means that if you switch to a different Xbox One (like playing on a friend’s console), you’ll be able to play the game starting with your last save.

  1. Play your Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One

The same situation as above applies in this case. However, if you want to switch between the two consoles, you will have to make sure that you have enabled the ‘Cloud Saved Games’ option on your Xbox 360. You can find this option in Setting >> System >> Storage >> Cloud Saved Games.

There is also another catch, in order to enable this option you’ll also have to be an Xbox Live Gold member.

  1. Set your game achievements as home screen backgrounds

In case you did not know, every Xbox One game achievement has a hi-res image that can be set as a home screen background. You do that by double clicking the Xbox button on the controller and scrolling down to Achievements. You pick the achievement that you like and then you choose the ‘Set as background’ option.

  1. Stream games on your Windows 10 PC.

You may not always be able to use the TV for playing Xbox One games, and that may be a problem. Luckily, with the introduction of the Windows 10 OS, you can now stream your console games directly on a PC, but they have to be on the same Wi-Fi connection.
