Several photos of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 2 have leaked online and they suggest that the phablet will sport a curved display.
The Mi Note phablet line was first introduced to the Asian market on January 2015 when the first Mi Note was launched and has been selling very well so far. This is why many believed that the next logical step for Xiaomi was to manufacture another phablet, the Mi Note and to also release it a year apart from the first one.
But January 2016 came and went and there was no news whatsoever about the Mi Note 2. However, there have been many leaks and rumors regarding it and the latest leaked images show the Mi Note 2 with a curved display both on the right and on the left side, which makes it very similar to Samsung Galaxy Note 7 or the S7 Edge.
This leak, combined with Xiaomi representatives stating that they will launch a new phablet very soon, suggests that the Mi Note 2 may become a reality in only a few weeks.
Other rumors say that the Mi Note 2 will be launched in more than one variant and that the one featuring the better specs will sport a curved display. It’s very possible that the phablet in the leaked images is that high-end variant of the Mi Note 2.
The device is presumed to sport a 5.5 or a 5.7 inch display and to be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor and a 4,000 mAh battery. Supposedly, it will come with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage space. Naturally, the Mi Note 2 will also feature two 12 MP cameras – one on the rear side and one on the front side. Lastly, it will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow straight out of the box.
