The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 measures 150x76x8.7mm and weights 164 grams. It’s an all metal smartphone with a fingerprint scanner below the rear camera and you can find it in color options of Silver, Gray or Gold. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) is slimmer and lighter as it measures 145.8×72.3×8.1mm and weights 159 grams. It has a removable plastic cover with a metal finish and it’s available in four variants of colors: White, Black, Gold and Rose Gold.



Displays

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has an IPS LCD display of 5.5-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 403 ppi. The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) comes with a smaller super AMOLED display of 5.2-inch that supports a lower resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 282 ppi.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 features a Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.4GHz and a dual-core Cortex A72 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz, an Adreno 510 graphics card and 2GB or 3GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has a Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 306 graphics card and 2GB of RAM.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has been released in two internal storage variants of 16GB and 32GB, which you can expand up to 256GB using a microSD card. The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) comes with an internal storage of 16GB, but you can expand it up to 256GB using a microSD card.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 sports a primary camera of 16MP that features phase detection autofocus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, panorama, HDR, face detection, touch focus and a secondary camera of 5MP.
