Rumors point to a release date for Nintendo NX, detailing the games lineup and the final name for one of the most anticipated consoles on the market. An anonymous source on 4Chan revealed more details about this project. According to it, the next hardware revision made by Nintendo will receive the name of Nintendo Focus and it will be announced on the 21st of September. The actual release though would take place on the 10th of March next year.
This info seems to confirm the detail rumored by Eurogamer, which is the fact that the new system will in fact be a hybrid between a portable- and a home console. The name, Focus, would mean that instead of equilibrating the two different markets, the Nintendo company will focus most of the attention on the NX.
But let’s dig deeper into the speculations. The games lineup seems to be really impressive. The source claims that the future NX (or Focus) will have 5 flagship games: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, F-Zero^2, Super Smash Bros For Focus, Super Smash Bros. Melee HD and Pokemon Gold and Silver for virtual console. The Smash For Focus will most likely include Wii U and 3DS content. It will feature characters such as Shovel Knight, Ice Climbers, Pichu and Wolf.
However, all these claims do not come from a verified and trustworthy source, so it’s better to take them with a grain of salt. However, some of the changes seem logical: many people have been talking a lot about the revival of Super Smash Bros., so that wouldn’t be a big surprise for the fans and would confirm these rumors. Even so, it is not plausible that the company would release a new iteration simultaneously with a remake Melee HD.
