With more people downloading and using the app, the developers at Niantic continue to work to make Pokémon Go players happy. They have been trying to address server problems, security issues, and other hitches that negatively affect the gamer’s experience. Aside from that, it has been reported that they have been busy in making the Pokémon world even more awesome for fans. Here are some of the rumored updates that we can look forward to later this year or early in 2017.

Legendary Pokémon

The news going around town is that the next update will introduce three legendary birds (Articuno, Moltre, and Zapdos) and other rare creatures. This will surely delight players who have been desiring to capture a legendary Pokémon but couldn’t because they can’t be found. There was a report about a player who saw Articuno in Ohio, but it has yet to be confirmed if that was caused by a bug in the game or if Niantic was feeling generous towards that particular player, thus allowing that person to see the special character.

Generation 2 Pokémon

It could also be possible that the introduction of Generation 2 creatures will include more legendary Pokémon, such as Entei, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Raikou, and Suicine. If ever rare characters won’t be included in a Pokémon Go that is expected to happen soon, then it is believed that they will be launched in the Generation 2 add-on, which is expected at the end of 2016 or at the beginning of next year.

Baby Pokémon

We could also be seeing Pichu and Elekid, the baby forms of Pikachu and Electabuzz respectively, in a Generation 2 update since it might include Baby Pokémon. More cuteness await!

Trading

At the 2016 San Diego Comic Con, Niantic confirmed that the well-anticipated trading feature will arrive very soon.

There is a lot to look forward to, so just keep on catching those creatures and excitedly anticipate the arrival of those awesome updates. Don’t ruin your Pokémon Go experience by downloading cheats to get ahead of other players and end up getting banned.
