Gamescom has been a good time for the next game in the Dragon Ball Xenoverse series and fans have some news to help keep them occupied until the game is released in October. This is great news and gamers have a much better idea of what to expect from the highly anticipated sequel.
New Gameplay and Images
Players now have several new gameplay videos and a few new screenshots that have revealed quite a bit about the game.
A new demo featured in-game combat between various characters in the game with focus on Android 16; according to the players who got to test this new demo, the gameplay is much smoother now that it has consistent 60 fps. Ki Blasts behave very differently in this game and players can expect to see an interesting new Dash System which can counter the returning Homing Dash ability. In addition to this, it’s been confirmed that “Homing Dash” is also in the game and the targeting mechanics are much easier.
Players have a new character to look forwards, Bandai Namco have released new screenshots from the game which confirms that Majin Vegeta will be in the game. This character has been very popular with Dragon Ball fans and it’s great to see him coming to the new game.
New Online Mode confirmed
Potentially the most exciting piece of news so far has been for a new online mode; this new online mode is a six player co-op mode where players team up online to fight an AI boss. The bosses in this mode have been confirmed to be incredibly large and a screenshot from the mode showed a Great Ape version of Vegeta.
No more information about this mode has been revealed so far but it’s an upgrade over the three player co-op that was featured in the first game.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be released October 25th for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
