Today, Capcom released a new gameplay trailer for the Resident Evil 7 biohazard game. The sequence contained in the trailer shows Marguerite Baker and another woman, but it also reveals some zones from the house on the plantation. What is to be appreciated is the fact that the content revealed in the trailer has been changed in order not to give any spoilers on the story.
The game is set in Dulvey, Louisiana, and there are lots of rumors going around about what Jack and Marguerite Baker did all this time, since nobody has heard of them. Capcom added that in the demo you will see that supposedly Jack Baker has gone missing.
Though you may seem surprised in the beginning by the low quality and fuzziness of the trailer, that’s not how the game is actually going to unravel. This glimpse simply represents the filter through which you will see the damaged tapes you will be finding in the game. This is similar to what you could find in the Sewer Gators tape in Beginning Hour. You might even play some bits of the game through this tapes, so be prepared for less than top-notch graphics sometimes.
For the first time in the game series, players get the chance to play from a first person perspective. This augments the terror and makes the game much more interesting. The game is marketed as being “disturbingly realistic” and it includes explorations, puzzles and a tense atmosphere. However, the inventory space will be limited now, so you will have to pay attention to what you are carrying with you.
On the 24th of January 2017 the game will be launched in Europe and North America on the PS4, PC and Xbox One. PS VR gamers will also be able to play it.
