Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is the updated arcade version of the ninth installment Tekken series. The limited arcade release took place in Japan on February 18, 2015, then, the unfinished release was scheduled for March 18, 2015. Tekken 7: Fated Retribution – the updated arcade version, was released in Japan, in July, this year, and the same version will be available for PS 4, Xbox One and Windows PCs in early 2017.
For now, it’s not known when exactly will be released Tekken 7: Fated Retribution for consoles and computers, but one thing’s for sure: it will come in early 2017. The sequel to Tekken 6 will have Bob as a new character and according to game producer Katsuhiro Harada, he will be the boss of Raven.
Akuma will be a crossover character and it will retain many of his moves fro the “Street Fighter”, but he will suffer a few changes, especially in his move damage, which will be decreased. So, players who will choose this character will put more efforts if they’ll want to win.
On the other hand, Tekken 7 won’t feature Jun Kazama, although it’s highly requested by the fans. However, Harada might introduce it via downloadable content, so don’t lose your hope!
According to reports, the developer of game is preparing a cross-play release, which means that gamers will be able to use different types of hardware and play against each other simultaneously. By introducing this feature, the game’s online traffic will be increased significantly, and it remains to have the confirmation from Sony that cross-play will happen.
Some of the gameplay changes include the new “Rage Drive”, which will allow players to sacrifice their Rage Mode in order to empower certain attacks. As for the story, it will be darker and will focus on the rivalry between Heihachi Mishima, his son, Kazuya Mishima and his grandson, Jin Kazama.
