Google Play Store app comes pre-install on all new Android devices and it gives users access to the entire collection of applications, games, music and other content uploaded to the store. There are many users who are continuously searching for new games to play and they easily found the most popular ones. But when it came to applications, Google had to wait eight years to introduce charts for free and paid software.
From now on, applications and games will have their own segregated categories, so users will no longer see a list of free apps mixed with paid apps. Google has decided to move paid apps lower down the page and it removed the “Top new free” and “Top new paid” charts, while on the top of the page will be displayed the latest releases. It will be even easier to find free apps, free games, trending paid for apps or paid for games, as they will appear in the Top Charts.
Users who are not fascinated with games and don’t want to see any of them displayed on the Google Play Store, will have the possibility to remove them entirely using an app/shortcut. Its name is “Apps: Play Store without Games” and, of course, it can be downloaded from the Play Store, but once it’s installed on the device, it launches the Play Store to a hidden “Apps Only” page.
The latest version of Google Play Store is 6.8.44.F-all 3087104 and it weighs in at 16.34MB. The APK can be downloaded from trusted sources such as APK Mirror or AndroidAPKsFree, but not before enabling the Unknown Sources option in Settings > Applications. Otherwise, you won’t have permission to install apps downloaded from the internet, because this is a precautionary measure which prevents users to infect their devices with viruses.
