We have some bad news for the God of War fans, as according to new rumors, the “God of War 4” will not be present at GamesCom 2016.

It is good to know that the “God of War 3” has been released back in 2010 for PlayStation 3, while the re-mastered version of it for PlayStation 4 came in July 2015. Now, Sony Santa Monica is expected to bring the “God of War 4” game to PlayStation 4, but if the new rumors prove to be right, it will not be presented during the GamesCom 2016 event that will be held in Cologne, Germany during 18-21 August, 2016.

According to rumors, the upcoming “God of War 4” by Sony Santa Monica is expected to be as dynamic and exciting as the previous versions of the game. It seems that Kratos will be taught to become human again. Cory Barlog, the creative director of “God of War 4”, has claimed that the upcoming game will feature the personal journey of Kratos and his son. The son will learn from Kratos the essential things about being a Norse god, but at the same time, Kratos will learn from his son how to become a human again.

However, Barlog has also mentioned that in “God of War 4”, Kratos will still be raging most of the time, but it will also show some level of control and awareness. It seems that Kratos has found a way to control his anger better while he was away from people. Barlog has also said that “God of War 4” will also come with re-playable sequences, as this feature could be a good factor to include in story-driven titles.

“God of War 4” will be an open-world survival game where your character will live in a world with monsters and gods. In addition, the game will have around 100 hours of gameplay, with special quests that will give you access to special weapons and gear.

Unfortunately, Sony will not be part of GamesCom 2016, which means that we will not receive any information about this upcoming game during this event. The “God of War 4” is expected to be released sometime in the holiday season of 2017.
