According to some previous rumors, Microsoft was going to release a Surface Pro hybrid tablet this year, but it seems that this will not happen, as new reports are suggesting that this device will arrive in March 2017.

It seems that the Surface Pro 5 will receive the new Kaby Lake processor, which is expected to be released sometime at the end of this year and this is the reason why new rumors are suggesting that the new hybrid device from Microsoft will be released in March 2017.

According to reports, the Kaby Lake chipset will come with improved technology, which will make the devices perform faster and more efficiently, but it will also consume less battery than the previous chipsets. We have to agree that the Surface Pro 4 was/is a great hybrid device, but when it comes to the battery life, we can’t say the same. However, thanks to the new Kaby Lake chipset, the Surface Pro 5’s battery life will be greatly improved.

The Surface Pro 5 is also expected to come pre-installed with Windows 10 Redstone OS, which is the upcoming update that will be released for the Windows 10 OS. Keep in mind that this update will not be released until 2017 and this is one more reason to “fuel” the rumors that say that Microsoft will wait until next year to release the Surface Pro 5.

Unfortunately, Microsoft hasn’t confirmed any of these rumors, but some official details about the upcoming Surface Pro 5 should be unveiled by the company American multinational technology company headquartered in Redmond, Washington sometime in the next months.

However, until Microsoft will give us some official information about the Surface Pro 5, we should take these rumors with a bit of salt.

Do you think that the Surface Pro 5 will be released in March 2017?
