In March 2015, the late Chief Executive Satoru Iwata announced that Nintendo was developing a console with a brand new concept with the codename “NX”. And with the company announcing that the release date of this product will be in March 2017, the gaming world is excitingly waiting for the Nintendo NX. The device is reported to have new hardware and software, and that it will be supporting some of the most well-loved games from Sega, Square, Enix, Ubisoft, and Warner Bros.
The latest rumors is that a new “Mario” game and “Pokémon” games will be available on the console. Also, Nintendo is reported to be securing third-party party support for “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” after the company announced in April last year that the latest version of Zelda would be released with the NX and Wii U.
Another bit of exciting news going round the gaming sphere is that Dragon Quest X is officially in development for Nintendo NX as the game’s producer Yosuke Saito mentioned the NX and PS4 ports when talking about the server load on the current versions for Windows, Wii, and Wii U. Ubisoft has also announced during the E3 conference this year that “Just Dance 2017” and other surprises will be coming out next year for the NX.
Aside from all the awesome games that are reportedly going to be launched with the Nintendo NX, gaming fans also have the whole new hardware and software to be excited about. Rumor has it that there will be a camera on the device and that it will feature the ARM-architecture Tegra X1 mobile processor from Nvidia. Plus, it will have a breakaway controller and it can be plugged into a TV.
With all these reported cool features, no wonder gamers are saying that the Nintendo NX could be the most powerful console yet.
