AMD have officially released their latest graphics cards, the RX470 and the RX460; both of these graphics cards were revealed during the PC Gaming Show at E3 2016 in June. They were revealed as being the perfect budget alternative for serious gamers who don’t have the funds for the RX480.
The RX470 is a slightly toned down RX480 graphics card which still offers a huge amount of power; it provides the means for a quality HD gaming session while also remaining extremely affordable. It features the latest GCN 4.0 architecture and is not available for purchase at $179.
Meanwhile the RX460 is being viewed as an eSports graphics card; this card is slightly less powerful however and it’s currently unknown how well it can run the high-end eSports games such as Overwatch and upcoming titles like Quake Champions. This card has not yet been released but it’s expected to be released in several days time on August 8th and will cost around $99.
These new graphics cards make building a powerful gaming computer much cheaper and players can expect that AMD will continue to push the borders between power and price for their future products.
