It’s been confirmed by Microsoft that the new Xbox Scorpio will not be on show at one of most popular video game conventions around; Gamescom is usually a good place for developers and companies to reveal their new projects or provide updates about the work they revealed at E3 in June.
While Microsoft will be at the conventions with a host of games they announced at E3, the Xbox Scorpio will not be there.
Fans can expect to see more details on the upcoming console over the next year as Microsoft plan to release it sometime during 2017; the new console is not the start of the ninth-generation but will still be much more powerful. Games that work for the Xbox One will be compatible for the Scorpio however not all Scorpio games will run on the Xbox One.
The exact specifications of the new console have not been revealed just yet by it will support 4K graphics and will be orientated towards VR support. Very little information has been revealed about the upcoming console and it looks like Microsoft have confirmed that no new information will be announced during Gamescom this month.
