On the 2nd of August we will get the chance to enjoy the next Galaxy Note release. This will happen in New York, at a special event. Even though everybody was expecting it to be called Galaxy Note 6, Samsung announced that they will actually skip the 6th number in order to have the Note series aligned with the 2016 flagships they already released.
We still have a little bit to wait, but even so, many people started rumoring about what the specs of the future Note 7 will be. As it seems, this will be comparable to the phablet released by Apple, the iPhone 6S Plus, so let’s see which will win.
When it comes to design, the Note 7 is very similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge. The main difference though is the fact that it has a S-Pen built in. If we look at the images that have leaked, Samsung has gone for a metal look, a glass rear and of course, double-edged display. As it seems, the dimensions of the Note 7 will be 153,5 x 73.9 x 7.9 mm. Meanwhile, the iPhone 6S Plus sports a great all-metal build. It will have the dimensions 158.1 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm, so it seems that it will be slimmer than the Note 7.
Note 7 is expected to have pretty much the same cameras as the S7 smartphones had, which is great. This would mean a rear camera of 12 MP, paired with a 5 MP front camera. Both Samsung and Apple chose a f/1.7 aperture, which is really useful in low light. The camera for the 6S Plus has the same specs as the Samsung device, so it’s hard to tell which one will be better at this.
