WhatsApp is one of the most used mobile messaging applications out there and this is confirmed by over 1 billion monthly active users. Today we will talk about the latest WhatsApp BETA version that has been released for Android smartphones.

The WhatsApp 2.16.189 is the latest version for Android devices and it seems that it comes with two new features: Voicemail and Callbacks. To use the Voicemail you will just need to tap on the “Record Voice Message” button that will appear when your contacts don’t answer to a Voice Call.

The WhatsApp 2.16.189 APK (installation) file has been increased by 26KB and it has 539 modified files related to all functions. You will also notice that the sizes of some emoji have changed and that two icons have been removed (the old ones were replaced in the previous update). In addition, icons for Voicemail have been added to the application.

Nowadays, it is quite easy to install the latest WhatsApp BETA version on your Android device. In the past, you had to manually download and install the WhatsApp APK (installation) on your Android device. However, since a few weeks ago you are able to become a WhatsApp BETA Tester and to do this you will have to open this page and tap on the “BECOME A TESTER” button. After that, you will have to open the Google Play Store, search for WhatsApp 2.16.189 and install it on your Android device.

Once the installation is complete, use your mobile phone number to get verified and log into your WhatsApp account.
