Millions of people from all over the world have been anxiously waiting for the arrival of the Pokémon GO augmented reality game. The Pokémon GO can be played on smartphones and tablets running on iOS and Android and it’s about catching creatures, training them in gyms and sending them to battle. Gamers who play Pokémon GO for the first time will understand the rules pretty fast, but there are many people who want to learn more about the game before installing it. So, we bring a list of tips and tricks that could help any newbie.
How To Find And Capture Pokémon
After creating an account and choosing one of the three Pokémon that are offered at the beginning of the game, players will follow a map that will take them to the location where another monster is hiding. The game will require you to enable GPS, because your avatar will appear on the map and you’ll guide it to the location where the Pokémon hides in the real world. Once you come across it, you’ll open the camera to see it on-screen and you’ll throw a Poke Ball at it, to capture it.
Look for Gyms
Gyms are locations on the map that are also found in real world, well placed. All Pokémon are trained in gyms and players will choose to be part of one of the three teams: Instinct (yellow), Mystic (blue) and Valor (red). Many Trainers will try to dethrone your team, but you’ll defend the gym with your Pokémon.
These are virtual stores from where you will be able to buy items such as Poke Balls or incubators for Pokémon eggs. You’ll still be able to get items for free for some of your achievements, but you’ll need healing potions for your injured Pokémon. You’ll find PokeStops at different points of interest, but you could be lucky enough to live next to a PokeStop.
Avoid Using Pokémon GO Hacks
Many players have a jailbroken iPhone or a rooted Android device and they’re tempted to use Pokémon GO hacks to level up faster or to win battles more easily. Nintendo and Niantic don’t accept cheaters and if they catch them, they ban them from the game.
