The Sony Xperia E5 has been released in June 2016, while the Asus Zenfone 3 Max is expected to hit the stores sometime next month. Today, we will compare these two smartphones and let you decide which one of them you will want to purchase.

The Sony Xperia E5 has an IPS display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 294 ppi. It’s a mid-range smartphone with a plastic build available in two colors: Graphite Black and White and the shape of the body is angular. The Asus Zenfone 3 Max has a bigger IPS display of 5.2-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 282 ppi. It comes with a metal unibody design and a 2.5D curved arc glass display.
Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM
The Sony Xperia E5 has a Mediatek MT6735 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, a Mali-T720MP2 graphics card and 1.5GB of RAM. The Asus Zenfone 3 Max comes with a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.0GHz, an Adreno 405 graphics card and 3GB of RAM.
The Sony Xperia E5 has been released with an internal storage of 16GB which you can expand up to 256GB using a microSD card. On the other hand, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max will come with an internal storage of 32GB and you will be able to expand it using a microSD card, but it’s not sure yet the maximum memory card that it will support.
The Sony Xperia E5 sports a primary camera of 13MP that features LED flash, autofocus, touch focus, geo-tagging, face detection, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 5MP. The Asus Zenfone 3 Max has cameras with the same resolutions and features.
The Sony Xperia E5 is powered by a non-removable battery of 2700 mAh, which is less powerful than the non-removable battery of 4100 mAh that the Asus Zenfone 3 Max will feature.
