The HTC 10 has been released in May, while the OnePlus 3 has hit the stores one month later. They’re two of the most popular flagships that were launched in 2016, but if you’re undecided which one to buy, maybe this comparison will help you take the best decision.
The HTC 10 measures 145.9×71.9x9mm and weights 161 grams. Its design was slightly tweaked, meaning that the device still comes with an aluminum exterior and has two slim horizontal lines on the back, but the edges are chamfered, not curved. On the other hand, the OnePlus 3 is slimmer and slightly lighter as it measures 152.7×74.7×7.4mm and weights 158 grams. This phone resembles the older HTC One 9, at least its back is similar because it’s slightly curved on the sides and has a square camera in the middle.
The HTC 10 has a super LCD5 display of 5.2-inch that supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 565 ppi. The OnePlus 3 comes with a bigger Optic AMOLED display of 5.5-inch that supports a lower resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi.
Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM
The HTC 10 features a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset, a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 1.6GHz and a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 2.15GHz, an Adreno 530 graphics card and 4GB of RAM. The OnePlus 3 features the same chipset, processor and graphics card, but it supports 6GB of RAM.
The HTC 10 has been released in two internal storage variants of 32GB and 64GB which you can expand up to 256GB using a microSD card. The OnePlus 3 comes with an internal storage of 64GB, but it doesn’t feature a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
The HTC 10 sports a primary camera of 12MP that features laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, OIS, geo-tagging, panorama, HDR, face detection, touch focus and a secondary camera of 5MP. The OnePlus 3 has a primary camera of 16MP that features OIS, LED flash, phase detection autofocus, HDR, panorama, touch focus and a secondary camera 8MP.
Both smartphones are powered by non-removable batteries of 3000 mAh.
