The LG G5 SE has just been released this month, being the weaker variant of the G5 flagship, while the Asus Zenfone 3 Max is expected to hit the stores sometime next month. Today we will compare these two handsets and let you decide which one of them is worth buying.

The LG G5 SE has an IPS LCD display of 5.3-inch that supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 554 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. On the other hand, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max has a smaller IPS display of 5.2-inch that supports a lower resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 282 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. While the LG G5 SE has the same modular design as the G5, it actually features a plastic body, while the Asus Zenfone 3 Max is entirely made of metal.
Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM
The LG G5 SE features a Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A72 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 510 graphics card and 3GB of RAM. The Asus Zenfone 3 Max has a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.0GHz, an Adreno 405 graphics card and 3GB of RAM.
The LG G5 SE has been released with an internal storage of 32GB which you can expand up to 256GB using a microSD card. The Asus Zenfone 3 Max is expected to come with an internal storage of 32GB, which is expandable up to the same capacity.
The LG G5 SE sports a dual-primary camera of 16MP and 8MP which features a LED flash, laser autofocus, OIS, touch focus, geo-tagging, face detection, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 8MP. The Asus Zenfone 3 Max has a primary camera of 13MP that features laser autofocus, LED flash, HDR, panorama, face detection, geo-tagging, touch focus and a secondary camera of 5MP.
The LG G5 SE is powered by a removable battery of 2800 mAh which is less powerful than the non-removable battery of 4100 mAh cell that the Asus Zenfone 3 Max will feature.
